    Sec. 1. The board may license a person to be a beauty cultureinstructor.

Application; form
    Sec. 2. A person must file a verified application for a beautyculture instructor license with the board. The application must bemade on a form prescribed by the board.

Contents of application
    Sec. 3. The application described in section 2 of this chapter muststate that the applicant:
        (1) is at least eighteen (18) years of age;
        (2) has graduated from high school or received the equivalentof a high school education;
        (3) holds a cosmetologist, an electrologist, a manicurist, or anesthetician license issued under this article;
        (4) has completed the education and experience requirementssubject to the rules adopted by the board;
        (5) has not committed an act for which the applicant could bedisciplined under IC 25-8-14;
        (6) has received a satisfactory grade (as described inIC 25-8-4-9) on an examination for instructor license applicantsprescribed by the board; and
        (7) has paid the fee set forth in IC 25-8-13-4 for the issuance ofa license under this chapter.

Repeat examination; rules
    Sec. 4. If a person does not receive a satisfactory grade on theexamination described in section 3(6) of this chapter, that personmay repeat the examination subject to the rules governing theexamination adopted by the board.

Unsatisfactory examination grades; consequences
    Sec. 5. If a person does not receive a satisfactory grade on the

examination described in section 4 of this chapter, the board may:
        (1) refuse to permit the person to take the examination again; or
        (2) permit the person to take the examination again subject tothe rules governing the examination adopted by the board.

Requirements to provide instruction
    Sec. 6. A person who obtains a license as a beauty cultureinstructor may provide instruction in the following:
        (1) Cosmetology, if the person:
            (A) holds a cosmetologist license under IC 25-8-9; and
            (B) has actively practiced cosmetology for at least six (6)months in a cosmetology salon and subsequentlysuccessfully completed at least six (6) months of instructionin theory and practice of instructor training as a student in acosmetology school.
        (2) Electrology, if the person holds an electrologist licenseunder IC 25-8-10.
        (3) Manicuring, if the person holds a manicurist license underIC 25-8-11.
        (4) Esthetics, if the person holds an esthetician license underIC 25-8-12.5.
