Civil penalties

    

Sec. 1. The department may impose a civil penalty of:

        (1) at least five hundred dollars ($500); and

        (2) not more than fifty thousand dollars ($50,000);

for each violation of this article.

Application of unauthorized insurers act

    

Sec. 2. IC 27-4-5 applies to a discount medical card program
organization that operates without registration under this article as if
the discount medical card program organization were an
unauthorized insurer.
