Competence to contract for insurance
    
Sec. 1. No person eighteen (18) years of age or over isincompetent because of age to contract for any insurance or exerciseevery right, privilege and benefit provided by any insurance contract.

Competence to receive insurance payments
    
Sec. 2. No person eighteen (18) years of age or over isincompetent because of age to receive and give full acquittance anddischarge for payments or execute assignments under the provisionsof an insurance contract or under the provisions of a settlementagreement executed in connection with any such contract ofinsurance.
