    Chapter 8. Commissioner's List of Motor Vehicle Insurers

IC 27-2-8-1
List of motor vehicle insurers agreeable to meeting state standards
    Sec. 1. The insurance commissioner shall annually forward to alldepartments and divisions of the state requiring the posting ofsecurity because of motor vehicle accidents and resultant damage andloss a list of those insurers which are, or which are agreeable to be,examined by the insurance department in the same manner as set outin IC 27-1-3-7 and IC 27-1-3.1, and set up and maintain liabilitiesand reserves in the same manner as set out in IC 27-1-13-8, andsubmit a written statement of their financial condition and theiroperations on the forms as prescribed by the National Association ofInsurance Commissioners, and in the same manner as set out inIC 27-1-3-7 and IC 27-1-20-21. No certificates or policies shall beaccepted by such departments or divisions as such security unless theinsurer so filing the certificate or policy shall have met or isagreeable to meeting the requirements as set out above.
