    Chapter 17. Registration at Armed Forces Recruitment Offices

Purpose of chapter
    Sec. 1. This chapter prescribes voter registration procedures inarmed forces recruitment offices as provided in 42 U.S.C.1973gg-5(c).

Recruitment office as voter registration office
    Sec. 2. As required under 42 U.S.C. 1973gg-5(c)(2), a recruitmentoffice of the armed forces of the United States located within Indianais a voter registration agency under this article.

Development of registration procedures
    Sec. 3. The NVRA official shall act on behalf of the state to workwith the United States Secretary of Defense to develop andimplement procedures for persons to apply to register to vote atrecruitment offices of the armed forces of the United States.

List of recruitment offices
    Sec. 4. The NVRA official shall maintain a list of the addressesand telephone numbers of recruitment offices within Indiana wherevoter registration is required under this chapter.

Prescription of forms and procedures to implement chapter
    Sec. 5. (a) The NVRA official may act under section 3 of thischapter to prescribe forms and procedures to implement this chapter.
    (b) The commission may prescribe forms to implement thischapter.
