    Chapter 10. Costs and Attorney's Fees

Costs and attorney's fees; order for direct payment to attorney
    
Sec. 1. (a) The court periodically may order a party to pay areasonable amount for the cost to the other party of maintaining ordefending any proceeding under this article and for attorney's feesand mediation services, including amounts for legal servicesprovided and costs incurred before the commencement of theproceedings or after entry of judgment.
    (b) The court may order the amount to be paid directly to theattorney, who may enforce the order in the attorney's name.

Exemption for agencies
    
Sec. 2. Neither costs or attorney fees may be taxed against anagency, or the agency's agents, that is authorized to maintainproceedings under this article by Title IV-D of the federal SocialSecurity Act (42 U.S.C. 651 through 669) and IC 31-25-4-17.
