Uniformity of application and construction
    Sec. 1. This article must be applied and construed to effectuate itsgeneral purpose to make uniform the law with respect to the subjectof this article among states enacting it.

Short title
    Sec. 2. This article may be cited as the Uniform Interstate FamilySupport Act.

Severability clause
    Sec. 3. (a) If a provision of this article or its application to anyperson or circumstance is held invalid, the invalidity does not affectother provisions or applications of this article that must be giveneffect without the invalid provision or application.
    (b) The provisions of this article are severable as described underthis section.

Remedies
    Sec. 4. Remedies under this article:
        (1) are cumulative; and
        (2) do not affect the availability of remedies under any otherlaw.
