    Chapter 23. Report to the General Assembly

Management of child abuse and neglect cases; report
    Sec. 1. The department shall prepare in an electronic format underIC 5-14-6 for the general assembly a report regarding thedepartment's management of child abuse and neglect cases.

Contents of report
    Sec. 2. The report under section 1 of this chapter must include adescription of the following:
        (1) The work of child welfare caseworkers, supervisors, anddirectors.
        (2) Investigations based on telephone reports of child abuse orneglect.
        (3) Referrals to necessary services arising out of child abuseand neglect reports.
        (4) The department's family preservation efforts.

Deadline for report
    Sec. 3. The department shall submit the report in an electronicformat under IC 5-14-6 to the general assembly not later thanNovember 1 of each year.
