Delinquent child defined
Sec. 1. A child is a delinquent child if, before becoming eighteen(18) years of age, the child commits a delinquent act described in thischapter.

Sec. 2. A child commits a delinquent act if, before becomingeighteen (18) years of age, the child commits an act that would be anoffense if committed by an adult, except an act committed by aperson over which the juvenile court lacks jurisdiction underIC 31-30-1.
