    Chapter 8. Foreclosure and Expiration of Liens on PublicImprovements

Limitation of actions
    Sec. 1. (a) Except as provided in subsection (b), an action may notbe brought for the foreclosure of a lien of an assessment for a:
        (1) street;
        (2) sewer;
        (3) sidewalk;
        (4) ditch; or
        (5) other public improvement;
if the action is not commenced within five (5) years after the right ofaction accrues.
    (b) If an assessment described in subsection (a) is payable ininstallments, an action may be brought within fifteen (15) years afterthe date of the final approval of the assessment as shown by therecord creating the lien.
