    Chapter 9. Name of and Service on Parties Defendant inForeclosure Suits

Necessary party defendants
    Sec. 1. (a) In a suit brought in a court of Indiana to:
        (1) foreclose a mortgage or other lien on real estate located inIndiana; or
        (2) sell real estate located in Indiana;
if the plaintiff is required to make a person a party to the suit, theplaintiff may list the person as a defendant by the name in which theperson's lien or claim appears on the public records of the county inwhich the suit is brought.
    (b) Service of summons or notice by publication to the person,described in subsection (a) is sufficient to make the court's judgmentbinding as to the person.
