Judicial circuit; small claims and misdemeanor division
    Sec. 1. (a) Starke County constitutes the forty-fourth judicialcircuit.
    (b) The Starke circuit court has a standard small claims andmisdemeanor division.

Magistrate
    Sec. 2. The judge of the Starke circuit court may appoint one (1)full-time magistrate under IC 33-23-5. The magistrate continues inoffice until removed by the judge.

Judicial powers
    Sec. 3. All inherent powers of judicial mandate in Starke Countyremain vested solely in the judge of the Starke circuit court.
