    Chapter 77. Sullivan County

Judicial circuit; magistrate
    Sec. 1. (a) Sullivan County constitutes the fourteenth judicialcircuit.
    (b) The judge of the Sullivan circuit court and the judge of theSullivan superior court may jointly appoint one (1) full-timemagistrate under IC 33-23-5 to serve the circuit and superior courts.
    (c) The magistrate continues in office until removed by the judgeof the Sullivan circuit court and the judge of the Sullivan superiorcourt.

Establishment of standard superior court
    Sec. 2. (a) There is established a court of record to be known asthe Sullivan superior court.
    (b) The Sullivan superior court is a standard superior court asdescribed in IC 33-29-1.
    (c) Sullivan County comprises the judicial district of the court.

Judge; location of court sessions
    Sec. 3. The Sullivan superior court has one (1) judge who shallhold sessions in:
        (1) the Sullivan County courthouse in Sullivan; or
        (2) other places in the county that the Sullivan Countyexecutive provides.

Jurisdiction
    Sec. 4. The Sullivan superior court has the same jurisdiction asthe Sullivan circuit court.

    Sec. 5. The Sullivan superior court has a standard small claimsand misdemeanor division.
