Statement of date of expiration of notary commission
    Sec. 1. A person commissioned as a notary public by the stateshall append a true statement of the date of the expiration of thenotary's commission as a notary public to any certificate ofacknowledgment of a deed, mortgage, or other instrument or anyjurat or other official document at the time the document is signed.

    Sec. 2. A notary public who omits to make the statement requiredby section 1 of this chapter commits a Class C infraction.
