Chapter 1. General Provisions

Application of article

    


Sec. 1. This article governs all actions that are:

        (1) brought by a user or consumer;

        (2) against a manufacturer or seller; and

        (3) for physical harm caused by a product;

regardless of the substantive legal theory or theories upon which the
action is brought.

Remedies cumulative

    


Sec. 2. This article shall not be construed to limit any other action
from being brought against a seller of a product.

Severability

    


Sec. 3. If a provision of this article or its application to a person
or circumstance is held invalid, the invalidity does not affect other
provisions or applications, and to this end the provisions of this
article are severable.

Effective date

    


Sec. 4. This article does not apply to a cause of action that accrues
before June 1, 1978.
