    Chapter 18. Sports: Immunity of Persons Involved in the SpecialOlympics

Negligent operation of motor vehicle; vicarious civil liability
    Sec. 1. (a) This chapter does not grant immunity from civildamages that are proximately caused by the negligent operation of amotor vehicle.
    (b) This chapter does not affect the vicarious civil liability of theentity that the individual serves.

Liability of volunteers
    Sec. 2. An individual who, without compensation, contributespersonal time to the Special Olympics is not liable for civil damagesas a result of a negligent act or omission of the individual arisingfrom that contribution.

Liability of contributors
    Sec. 3. A person who contributes only money to the SpecialOlympics is not liable for civil damages as a consequence of anegligent act or omission of an individual described in section 2 ofthis chapter solely because of that contribution.
