    Chapter 6. Misrecorded Instruments

Application of chapter
    Sec. 1. This chapter applies when the records kept in therecorder's offices of the various counties:
        (1) contain records of instruments purporting to be deeds,mortgages, trust deeds, assignments, releases, or otherinstruments entitled to record by Indiana recording statutes; and
        (2) the records of instruments described in subdivision (1) havebeen recorded in records other than those designated by statutefor the recording of instruments.

Admissibility
    Sec. 2. The records of instruments and certified copies of recordsof instruments described in section 1 of this chapter are admissiblein evidence after the instruments have been recorded for twenty (20)years.
