Application of definitions
    Sec. 1. Except as provided in section 4 of this chapter, thedefinitions in IC 3-5-2 and IC 36-1-2 apply throughout this article.

"Plan of reorganization"
    Sec. 3. "Plan of reorganization" refers to a plan of reorganizationapproved by the legislative body of each reorganizing politicalsubdivision under this article.

"Political subdivision"
    Sec. 4. "Political subdivision" has the meaning set forth inIC 36-1-2, except that the term does not include a local hospitalauthority or corporation.

"Reorganization"
    Sec. 5. "Reorganization" means a change in the structure oradministration of a political subdivision described in IC 36-1.5-4-3and IC 36-1.5-4-4.

"Reorganization committee"
    Sec. 6. "Reorganization committee" refers to a committeeestablished under this article to assist reorganizing politicalsubdivisions with developing a plan of reorganization.

"Reorganized political subdivision"
    Sec. 7. "Reorganized political subdivision" means the politicalsubdivision that is the successor to the reorganizing politicalsubdivisions participating in a reorganization.

"Reorganizing political subdivision"
    Sec. 8. "Reorganizing political subdivision" refers to a politicalsubdivision in which:
        (1) a resolution has been adopted under IC 36-1.5-4-10; or
        (2) a petition has been filed under IC 36-1.5-4-11.
