    Sec. 1. This chapter applies to all townships.

Appointment; removal; responsibility
    Sec. 2. An officer of a township may appoint and remove alldeputies and other employees in his office, shall appoint deputies andother employees necessary for the proper discharge of his duties, andis responsible for the official acts of his deputies and otheremployees.

Annual appropriations for offices; payments on vouchers
    Sec. 3. The legislative body shall make annual appropriations forassistants in township offices. Payments shall be made to assistantson vouchers verified by the claimant and approved by the officer inwhose office he is employed.
