    Chapter 1. Definitions

Application of definitions
    Sec. 1. Except as otherwise provided, the definitions in thischapter apply throughout this article.

"Airport authority"
    Sec. 2. "Airport authority" refers to an airport authorityestablished under IC 8-22-3.

"Airport authority project"
    Sec. 3. "Airport authority project" means a project that can befinanced with the proceeds of bonds issued by an airport authorityunder IC 8-22-3.

"Bonds"
    Sec. 4. "Bonds" means, except as otherwise provided, bonds,notes, or other evidences of indebtedness issued by a developmentauthority.

"Commuter transportation district"
    Sec. 5. "Commuter transportation district" refers to a commutertransportation district established under IC 8-5-15.

"Commuter transportation district project"
    Sec. 6. "Commuter transportation district project" means a projectthat can be financed with the proceeds of bonds issued by acommuter transportation district under IC 8-5-15.

"Economic growth region"
    Sec. 7. "Economic growth region" refers to an economic growthregion designated by the department of workforce development.As added by P.L.232-2007, SEC.7.

"Development authority"
    Sec. 8. "Development authority" refers to a regional developmentauthority established under IC 36-7.6-2-3.

"Development board"
    Sec. 9. "Development board" refers to the governing body of adevelopment authority appointed under IC 36-7.6-2-3.

"Economic development project"
    Sec. 10. "Economic development project" means an economicdevelopment project described in IC 6-3.5-7-13.1(c).

"Eligible political subdivision"
    Sec. 11. "Eligible political subdivision" means any of thefollowing:
        (1) A county.
        (2) A municipality.
        (3) An airport authority.
        (4) A commuter transportation district.
        (5) A regional transportation authority.

"Project"
    Sec. 12. "Project" means an airport authority project, a commutertransportation district project, an economic development project, aregional transportation authority project, an intermodal transportationproject, or a regional trail or greenway project.

"Regional transportation authority"
    Sec. 13. "Regional transportation authority" means a regionaltransportation authority established under IC 36-9-3.
