    Chapter 21. Emergency Telephone Notification System

"Emergency telephone notification system"
    
Sec. 1. As used in this chapter, "emergency telephone notificationsystem" means an enhanced emergency telephone system thatprovides service users in a unit with a telephone warning of anemergency situation through a computerized warning system thatuses 911 data base information and technology.

Establishment of emergency telephone notification system;appropriation of funds
    
Sec. 4. (a) A unit may establish an emergency telephonenotification system.
    (b) The legislative body of the unit may appropriate money fromthe unit's emergency telephone system fund under IC 36-8-16-13 tocarry out the purposes of this chapter.

Provision of customer data
    
Sec. 5. A service supplier shall provide upon request thenecessary customer data to implement an emergency telephonenotification system. The provision of data under this section issubject to IC 36-8-16-16.
