Distribution of reports
    
Sec. 1. The annual reports of the meetings of the IndianaAcademy of Science, beginning with the report for the year 1894,including all papers of scientific or economic value presented at suchmeetings, after they shall have been edited and prepared forpublication shall be published by the commission on public records.

Preparation of reports for publication; expenses
    
Sec. 2. The reports shall be edited and prepared for publicationwithout expense to the state, by a corps of editors to be selected andappointed by the Indiana Academy of Science, who shall not, byreason of such services, have any claim against the state forcompensation. The form, style of binding, paper, typography andmanner and extent of illustration of the reports shall be determinedby the editors, subject to the approval of the commission on publicrecords. Not less than fifteen hundred (1,500) nor more than threethousand (3,000) copies of each of said reports shall be published,the size of the edition to be determined by the concurrent action ofthe editors and the commission on public records.

Custody of reports
    
Sec. 3. All except three hundred (300) copies of each volume ofsaid reports shall be placed in the custody of the state librarian, whoshall furnish one (1) copy thereof to each public library in the state,one (1) copy to each university, college or normal school in the state,one (1) copy to each high school in the state having a library, whichshall make application therefor, and one (1) copy to such otherinstitutions, societies or persons as may be designated by theacademy through its editors or its council. The remaining threehundred (300) copies shall be turned over to the academy to bedisposed of as it may determine. In order to provide for thepreservation of the same, it shall be the duty of the custodian of thestate-house to provide and place at the disposal of the academy one(1) of the unoccupied rooms of the state-house, to be designated asthe office of the Indiana Academy of Science, wherein said copies ofsaid reports belonging to the academy, together with the originalmanuscripts, drawings, etc., thereof can be safely kept, and he shallalso equip the same with the necessary shelving and furniture.
