    Chapter 1. Definitions

Applicability of definitions
    Sec. 1. The definitions in this chapter apply throughout thisarticle.

"Fund"
    Sec. 2. "Fund" means the Indiana technology fund created byIC 4-34-2-1.

"Technology project"
    Sec. 3. "Technology project" means:
        (1) the installation and improvement of computers, wiring,media distribution systems, telephone access systems,automation systems, networks, electronic gateway access, andrelated systems in libraries and schools;
        (2) the purchase of software and technical support for projectslisted in subdivision (1);
        (3) the lease, purchase, rehabilitation, repair, or improvement ofequipment or furnishings related to projects listed insubdivision (1); and
        (4) professional development related to and salaries formanagement of projects listed in subdivision (1).

"Technology project cost"
    Sec. 4. "Technology project cost" means the cost or fair marketvalue of any technology project, including equipment, plans,specifications, estimates, studies, salaries, services, and otherexpenses as may be necessary or incident to the development andplacing in operation of any technology project.
