    Chapter 7. Plaintiff in Action for Recovery of Public Funds

State as nominal party in action
    Sec. 1. When, under the provisions of this article, any report orreports are certified to the attorney general by the state examiner ofthe state board of accounts charging any public official, any formerpublic official, and/or any other person named in such report withhaving illegally received, and/or having illegally retained, and/orfailed to account for and pay over any money so received, and/orhaving illegally expended public moneys or any moneys placed incustody of such public official or former public official by authorityof law, and the attorney general brings an action for the recovery ofsuch moneys, such action shall be brought in the name of the state ofIndiana upon the relation of the attorney general as plaintiff.
