Blueprints and specifications; filing
Sec. 1. (a) A public official, board, commission, or other publicagency having charge of the construction of a public building, anaddition to the building or an alteration of the building shall file inthe division of fire and building safety, within sixty (60) days afterthe completion of the building project, a complete set of blueprintsand a complete set of bound specifications for the public building,addition, or alteration.
(b) Subsection (a) does not apply to buildings, additions, oralterations that are constructed at a cost of less than twenty-fivethousand dollars ($25,000).

Depository for blueprints and specifications; state librarian
Sec. 2. The division of fire and building safety of the departmentof homeland security shall provide a safe depository for all blueprintsand specifications filed as provided in section 1 of this chapter andretain them for inspection and loan under the conditions andrestrictions as the fire prevention and building safety commissionshall determine by rule. The fire prevention and building safetycommission may designate the librarian of the state of Indiana as thecustodian of any blueprints and specifications filed with it, at anytime, and it shall be the duty of the state librarian to safely preservethe same in the state archives as public documents.
