Chapter 1. Purpose

Purpose

    

Sec. 1. (a) It is the intent of the general assembly to ensure and
improve the health of the citizens of Indiana by encouraging and
facilitating the development of:

        (1) a statewide system for the electronic exchange of health care
information; and

        (2) other health informatics functions in Indiana.

    (b) The general assembly finds that the goals described in
subsection (a) can be carried out and achieved most efficiently by a
body politic and corporate.
