    Chapter 11. County Tunnels

Authority to construct tunnels
    Sec. 1. Whenever, in the judgment of the county executive, it isnecessary to bridge any highway or public street across anynavigable water, the county executive may construct a tunnelunderneath the navigable water, on the public street or publichighway instead of a bridge.

Applicable laws
    Sec. 2. If the county executive determines it is necessary toconstruct a tunnel instead of a bridge, then the construction of thetunnel shall be completed under the laws for the construction ofbridges on public highways and public streets by county executives.
