    Chapter 19. For-Hire Vehicle Registration

Instrument required
    Sec. 1. The bureau of motor vehicles may not register or licensea motor bus, truck, tractor, trailer, or semitrailer used or intended tobe used for hire by the owner whenever the law requires the ownerto obtain a permit or certificate of convenience and necessity fromthe department until the department furnishes the bureau of motorvehicles with an instrument.

Contents of instrument
    Sec. 2. The instrument must certify that the owner of such motorbus, truck, tractor, trailer, or semitrailer has complied with the lawand the rules of the department concerning permits and certificatesof convenience and necessity and the use of motor vehicles.
