    Chapter 13. Annual Inventory of Equipment

Establishment and maintenance of records
    Sec. 1. The department shall establish and maintain completeinventory records of all durable office equipment, highwayconstruction and maintenance equipment, motor vehicles, and allother items of personal property except office supplies under itscontrol other than property excluded by section 2 of this chapter. Theinventory shall be kept on a basis that will show the disposition of allobsolete, discarded, or traded equipment and will show at all timesthe status of all personal property owned by the department.

Expended supplies
    Sec. 2. Supplies that are expended at the same time they are usedare excluded from the inventory requirements of this chapter. Arecord of the supplies that are expended at the same time they arepurchased or used shall be maintained and a copy showing allpurchases made during the previous three (3) months shall befurnished quarterly to the budget committee. Copies shall be kept andmade available at all times to the general public at the office of thedepartment.
