Chapter 6. Changing Names of Railroads

Resolution
Sec. 1. Railroad companies desiring so to do may change theirname by resolution of their boards of directors duly entered upontheir records, and, in so doing, may adopt such name as may beagreed upon by the board.

Resolution; recordation and publication
Sec. 2. It shall be the duty of said board to cause a copy of theresolutions changing the name of their road as above provided, to berecorded in the office of the recorder of the several counties throughwhich the road may run, and also to give notice thereof bypublication in some newspaper of general circulation in this state.

Survival of actions and proceedings
Sec. 3. The change of name as provided in this chapter shall notbe construed to deprive any company of any of the powers andfranchises granted to it by the original incorporation statute oramendments thereto; nor shall anything in this chapter be soconstrued as to prevent any company changing its name from suingor being sued in its original name for all rights and liabilities whichmay have accrued previous to changing its name.
