    Chapter 24.5. In God We Trust License Plate

Design and issuance
    Sec. 1. The bureau shall design an In God We Trust license plateto be issued beginning January 1, 2007.

Design
    Sec. 2. An In God We Trust license plate must include thefollowing:
        (1) A basic design for the plate with consecutive numbers orletters, or both, to properly identify the vehicle.
        (2) A background design, an emblem, or colors that designatethe license plate as an In God We Trust license plate.
        (3) Any other information the bureau considers necessary.

Display
    Sec. 3. A license plate issued under this chapter may be displayedon the following:
        (1) A passenger motor vehicle.
        (2) A truck registered as a truck with a declared gross weight ofnot more than eleven thousand (11,000) pounds.
        (3) A recreational vehicle.

Eligibility
    Sec. 4. A person who is a resident of Indiana and who is eligibleto register and display a license plate on a vehicle under this titlemay apply for and receive an In God We Trust license plate for one(1) or more vehicles after December 31, 2006, after doing thefollowing:
        (1) Completing an application for an In God We Trust licenseplate.
        (2) Paying the fee under section 5 of this chapter.

Fee
    Sec. 5. The fee for an In God We Trust license plate is theappropriate fee under IC 9-29-5-34.5.
