Chapter 28. Rental Vehicles and Common Carriers

Validity of licenses

    


Sec. 1. A license issued by a city or town for a motor vehicle
operated for hire is valid in every city and town of Indiana for the
year for which the license is issued.

Single license required

    


Sec. 2. Only one (1) city or town license may be required for a
motor vehicle operated for hire for any one (1) year.

Common carriers

    


Sec. 3. A motor vehicle operated as a common carrier for hire and
registered under this title may not be operated upon a highway unless
the owner of the motor vehicle has complied with all statutes
governing the operation of the motor vehicle upon a public highway.

Violations

    


Sec. 4. A person who violates this chapter commits a Class C
infraction.
