    Chapter 4. Duties of Coroners

Death resulting from traffic accident; duty to notify state policedepartment
    Sec. 1. The coroner or other official performing similar functionsshall immediately notify the state police department upon learning ofthe death of an individual in the coroner's jurisdiction as the result ofa traffic accident.

Monthly reports
    Sec. 2. In addition to the notification required by section 1 of thischapter, the coroner or other official performing similar functionsshall report in writing to the state police department, on or before thetenth day of each month, the following:
        (1) The death of an individual within the coroner's jurisdictionduring the preceding month as the result of an accidentinvolving a motor vehicle.
        (2) The circumstances of the accident.
