Arrest and prosecution; exclusivity of procedures

    

Sec. 1. The procedure prescribed in this chapter is not the
exclusive method for the arrest and prosecution of a person for a
similar offense.

IC 9-26-8-2

Violations of certain sections of IC 9-26-1; arrest without warrant

    

Sec. 2. A law enforcement officer may, without a warrant, arrest
a person for a violation of IC 9-26-1-1(1), IC 9-26-1-1(2),
IC 9-26-1-2(1), IC 9-26-1-2(2), IC 9-26-1-3, or IC 9-26-1-4 if the law
enforcement officer has reasonable cause to believe that the violation
was committed by the person.
