Arrest and prosecution; exclusivity of procedures
    Sec. 1. The procedure prescribed in this chapter is not theexclusive method for the arrest and prosecution of a person for asimilar offense.

IC 9-26-8-2
Violations of certain sections of IC 9-26-1; arrest without warrant
    Sec. 2. A law enforcement officer may, without a warrant, arresta person for a violation of IC 9-26-1-1(1), IC 9-26-1-1(2),IC 9-26-1-2(1), IC 9-26-1-2(2), IC 9-26-1-3, or IC 9-26-1-4 if the lawenforcement officer has reasonable cause to believe that the violationwas committed by the person.
