    Chapter 2. Fees Under IC 9-14

IC 9-29-2-1
Certified copies or electronic records
    Sec. 1. (a) The fee to obtain:
        (1) a certified copy of a record; or
        (2) an electronic record;
of the bureau under IC 9-14-3-4 is four dollars ($4) for eachdocument. This fee is in addition to the uniform copying feeestablished under IC 5-14-3-8.
    (b) The fee imposed by this section does not apply to a lawenforcement agency and an agency of government.
    (c) The bureau shall give precedence to requests from lawenforcement agencies and agencies of government for certifiedcopies of records.

Information on titles, registration, driver's licenses, and permits;fees
    Sec. 2. (a) The fee to obtain information regarding vehicle titlesunder IC 9-14-3-5 is:
        (1) four dollars ($4) for each record requested in writing; and
        (2) a fee to be determined by the bureau not to exceed fourdollars ($4), in conformance with IC 5-14-3-8, for each recordrequested electronically through the computer gatewayadministered under IC 4-13.1-2-2(a)(5) by the office oftechnology;
plus any service fee charged by the office of technology establishedby IC 4-13.1-2-1.
    (b) The fee to obtain information regarding a license, vehicleregistration, or permit under IC 9-14-3-5 is four dollars ($4) for arecord requested either:
        (1) in writing; or
        (2) electronically through the computer gateway administeredunder IC 4-13.1-2-2(a)(5) by the office of technology;
plus any service fee charged by the office of technology establishedby IC 4-13.1-2-1.
    (c) The fee imposed by this section and paid to the bureau is inlieu of fees established under IC 5-14-3-8 and does not apply to a lawenforcement agency or an agency of government.

    Sec. 3. The bureau may charge an amount agreeable to the partiesfor specific information requested under IC 9-14-3-6.

List of registrants
    Sec. 5. Notwithstanding IC 5-14-3-8, the bureau may charge fora list of registrants under IC 9-14-3-10 an amount that is agreeable tothe parties.
