33-18-10. Contributions by members--Maximum contribution required. Any member of the State Veterans' Home who receives a pension, compensation, or gratuity from the United States government or sufficient funds from any source of more than fifty dollars a month above contributions toward the care of any dependents, shall contribute to the member's maintenance, care, or support while a member of the home. The contributions shall be determined by the secretary of military and veterans affairs and may not exceed the cost of support of members at the home as determined by the secretary of military and veterans affairs. Payment of these amounts shall be made first to the fullest extent possible from sources of income other than pensions or compensation paid by the Veterans Administration.
