34-14-13. Rules of department--Inspections and investigations. The State Department of Health may promulgate rules pursuant to chapter 1-26 to carry out the provisions of this chapter, including provisions for controlling the humane use of animals for the diagnosis and treatment of human and animal diseases, the advancement of veterinary, dental, medical, and biological sciences and the testing and diagnosing, improvement, and standardization of laboratory specimens, biological products, pharmaceuticals, and drugs. The department may inspect or investigate any institution which has applied for a license or has been granted a license under § 34-14-8.
