36-34-2. Certification Board for Alcohol and Drug Professionals--Qualifications of members--Replacement of functions of private board. The South Dakota Certification Board for Alcohol and Drug Professionals consists of nine members, three of whom shall be lay members and six of whom shall be professionals certified pursuant to this chapter. Each professional member shall be active within the chemical dependency profession and broadly represent a cross section of the profession of chemical dependency counseling and prevention services. This board replaces the functions previously performed by the South Dakota Chemical Dependency Counselor Certification Board, a private nonprofit entity doing business as the Certification Board for Alcohol and Drug Professionals.
