41-20-8.7. Disclosure of confidential medical information as misdemeanor. Except as provided in § 41-20-8.6, any person responsible for recording, reporting, or maintaining medical information required pursuant to the provisions of §§ 41-20-8.4 to 41-20-8.8, inclusive, who knowingly or intentionally discloses or fails to protect medical information declared to be confidential under § 41-20-8.6, or who compels another person to disclose such medical information, is guilty of a Class 2 misdemeanor.
