45-10-1. Governor authorized to join interstate compact for conservation of oil and gas. The Governor of the State of South Dakota is hereby authorized and directed for and in the name of the State of South Dakota to join with the other states in the Interstate Oil Compact to Conserve Oil and Gas, which was heretofore executed in the city of Dallas, Texas, on February 16, 1935, and is now on deposit with the Department of State of the United States, and has been extended to the first day of September, 1969, all with the consent of the Congress of the United States.
