9-41-1.1. Purchase of equipment for resale authorized. Notwithstanding the provisions of chapter 5-18 or any of the provisions of Title 9 regarding the sale and purchase of property, a municipality operating a telephone system pursuant to § 9-41-1 may lease and purchase equipment for resale to its customers and may contract for services relating to the lease, purchase, sale, installation, and maintenance of the same, in a manner and for a price and terms determined by the governing body. If practicable the governing body shall secure at least two competitive quotations and retain them for its files.
