333.155  Regulations concerning purchase of new equipment: Consideration of renting equipment and contracting for service to maintain equipment.  The Chief shall adopt regulations which set forth standards to be used by using agencies when purchasing new equipment in order to determine:

1.  Whether the equipment can be leased or rented at a cost that is equal to or less than the cost of purchasing the equipment; and

2.  If a service is required to maintain the equipment, whether the service would be performed more efficiently by the agency or a private contractor.
