389.045 - Course of study designed to assist pupils with passing high school proficiency examination; board of trustees authorized to offer course as elective.
1. Â The State Board shall prescribe, by regulation, a course of study that is designed to assist pupils enrolled in high school with passing the high school proficiency examination. The course of study must:
(a) Be consistent with the statewide program to prepare pupils for the high school proficiency examination established pursuant to NRS 389.0175; and
(b) Ensure the security and confidentiality of the high school proficiency examination in accordance with the plan for test security adopted by the Department pursuant to NRS 389.616.
2. Â The board of trustees of each school district may offer the course of study prescribed by the State Board pursuant to subsection 1 as an elective to pupils enrolled in high school in the school district.
