396.385 Ā Use of facsimile signature by chief business officer; conditions. Ā The Board of Regents may authorize the chief business officer of each business center of the System to use a facsimile signature produced through a mechanical device in place of his or her handwritten signature whenever the necessity may arise, subject to the following conditions:

1. Ā The mechanical device must be of such a nature that the facsimile signature may be removed from the mechanical device and kept in a separate secure place.

2. Ā The facsimile signature may only be used under the direction and supervision of the chief business officer of the business center.

3. Ā The registered key to the mechanical device must be kept in a vault at all times when the key is not in use.
