427A.550  Division may expend money from Senior Citizens’ Property Tax Assistance Account for audit of claims processed by county assessor.  If the Division determines that an audit of claims is required to determine whether a county assessor accurately processed claims and if employees of the Division are not capable of auditing a sufficient number of the claims, the Division may expend not more than $20,000 of the money in the Senior Citizens’ Property Tax Assistance Account to contract with qualified persons to assist in conducting the audit.
