433A.650  Benefits available from third party.  Determination of ability to pay pursuant to NRS 433A.640 shall include investigation of whether the client has benefits due and owing to the client for the cost of his or her treatment from third-party sources, such as Medicare, Medicaid, social security, medical insurance benefits, retirement programs, annuity plans, government benefits or any other financially responsible third parties. The administrative officer of a division mental health facility may accept payment for cost of a client’s treatment from the client’s insurance company, Medicare or Medicaid and other similar third parties.
