440.290  Certificate of birth: Form and contents.  The form of the birth certificate to be used under this chapter shall include as a minimum the items required by the standard certificate of live birth as recommended by the United States Public Health Service, but no certificate to be used under this chapter shall include any notation of legitimacy or illegitimacy. The entry of the name of the father of a child or of the surname of the father as the surname of the child on the certificate of birth pursuant to NRS 440.280 shall not be considered a notation of legitimacy or illegitimacy within the meaning of this section.
