477.206  Inspection by Department of Taxation. [Effective June 3, 2010, and expires by limitation on the date upon which a federal law establishing standards for fire-safe cigarettes becomes effective.]  The Department of Taxation, in the regular course of conducting inspections of wholesale dealers, retail dealers and agents pursuant to NRS 370.001 to 370.530, inclusive, may inspect any packages of cigarettes to determine if they have been marked in accordance with NRS 477.198. If the packages of cigarettes are not marked as required, the Executive Director of the Department of Taxation shall notify the State Fire Marshal and may seize the packages of cigarettes pursuant to subsection 5 of NRS 477.202.
