62D.300 Â Power of juvenile court to expedite proceeding involving act committed against or witnessed by person less than 16 years of age.
1. Â Upon the request of the district attorney, the juvenile court may expedite any proceeding conducted pursuant to the provisions of this title that involves an act committed against a person who is less than 16 years of age or an act witnessed by a person who is less than 16 years of age.
2. Â In determining whether to expedite a proceeding, the juvenile court may consider the effect that a delay in the proceeding may have on the mental or emotional health or well-being of the person who is less than 16 years of age.
