561.205  Management of activities pertaining to protection and promotion of livestock industry.  The Director shall appoint a person to manage the activities of the Department relating to the protection and promotion of the livestock industry of the State of Nevada. The person is in the unclassified service of the State and must:

      1.  Be appointed on the basis of merit;

      2.  Be a graduate of a veterinary school or college approved by the American Veterinary Medical Association; and

      3.  Have at least 5 years’ experience in official work for regulating and controlling diseases in livestock.

Ê The Director may remove the person from office with the approval of the Board.
